Dutch Basil Smash

Ingredients

  • Jenever 1 12 oz.
  • Grapefruit liqueur 12 oz.
  • Sugar syrup 34 oz.
  • Grapefruit 4 oz.
  • Red basil 0.35 oz.
  • Ice cubes 11 oz.

Directions

  1. Fill a rocks glass to the top with ice cubes
  2. Place 5 red basil leaves, 2 grapefruit wedges into a shaker and muddle
  3. Pour in 0.75 oz of sugar syrup, 0.5 oz of grapefruit liqueur and 1.5 oz of jenever
  4. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake
  5. Fine strain into the rocks glass
  6. Garnish with red basil leaves
