Above the Clouds

Ingredients

  • Aged rum 2 oz.
  • Amaro 0.35 oz.
  • Lavender bitters 0.1 oz.
  • Homemade fig syrup 0.35 oz.
  • Fig 0.35 oz.
  • Lavender 0.15 oz.
  • Chocolate scented wood chips 0.15 oz.
  • Ice ball 1  
  • Ice cubes 10 oz.

Directions

  1. Place an ice sphere into a rocks glass
  2. Pour 0.35 oz of homemade fig syrup, 0.35 oz of amaro and 2 oz of aged rum into a mixing glass
  3. Add 3 dashes of lavender bitters
  4. Fill the glass with ice cubes and stir
  5. Strain into the rocks glass
  6. Place wood chips with chocolate into a smoking gun
  7. Place the rocks glass under a bell jar and infuse it with smoke for a few minutes
  8. Garnish with fig wedges on a cocktail skewer and a lavender sprig
