Mexican Mule

Ingredients

  • Silver tequila 2 oz.
  • Sugar syrup 34 oz.
  • Lemon juice 12 oz.
  • Ginger beer 3 oz.
  • Orange 4 oz.
  • Ginger root 1 oz.
  • Ice cubes 13 oz.

Directions

  1. Fill a highball glass to the top with ice cubes
  2. Place 2 slices of ginger root, a quarter of orange into a shaker and muddle
  3. Add 0.5 oz of lemon juice, 0.75 oz of sugar syrup and 2 oz of silver tequila
  4. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake
  5. Fine strain into the highball glass
  6. Top up with ginger beer and stir gently
  7. Garnish with an orange wedge and a slice of ginger root
