Apricot Mulled Wine

Ingredients

  • Cognac 34 oz.
  • Dry red wine 5 oz.
  • Orange 2 12 oz.
  • Apricot 2 oz.
  • Apricot jam 12 oz.
  • 
Cloves 0.1 oz.
  • Cinnamon sticks 0.15 oz.
  • Lemon zest 1  

Directions

  1. Place 3 bar spoons of apricot jam, a quarter of orange and lemon zest into a milk pitcher.
  2. Pour in 5 oz of dry red wine and 0.75 oz of cognac.
  3. Add 3 cloves and a cinnamon stick.
  4. Stir while heating, but do not bring to the boil.
  5. Pour into an irish coffee glass.
  6. Garnish with apricot halves on a cocktail skewer.
