Hot Rum Punch

Ingredients

  • Dark rum 1 12 oz.
  • Tawny port 1 12 oz.
  • Honey syrup 34 oz.
  • Sugar syrup 12 oz.
  • Lime juice 12 oz.
  • Black tea 4 oz.
  • 
Cloves 0.06 oz.
  • Cinnamon sticks 0.15 oz.
  • Orange zest 1  

Directions

  1. Place 2 cloves into a milk pitcher
  2. Pour 0.5 oz of lime juice, 4 oz of black tea, 0.75 oz of honey syrup, 0.5 oz of sugar syrup, 1.5 oz of tawny port and 1.5 oz of dark rum
  3. Stir while heating, but do not bring to the boil
  4. Fine strain into a goblet glass
  5. Garnish with a cinnamon stick wrapped in orange zest
