Tomato soup

Tomato soup is a soup made with tomatoes as the primary ingredient. Popular toppings for tomato soup include sour cream, croutons or grilled cheese sandwich. It may be served hot or cold. This soup is one of the top foods in Poland, the United States, Great Britain, Italy, Spain and Portugal. The first noted tomato soup was made in 1872. 


  • tomatoes (chopped) 5 pcs.
  • carrot (diced) 1 pcs.
  • spring onions or leek (diced) 1 bunch
  • stalk celery (diced) 1 pcs.
  • parsnip diced (optional) 1 pcs.
  • basil (chopped) 2 tbsp.
  • parsley (chopped) 2 tbsp.
  • garlic 1 clove
  • chicken or vegetable stock 1 cup
  • olive oil 3 tbsp.
  • sour cream
  • oregano, thyme to taste
  • sugar, salt, black pepper to taste


  1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan.
  2. Add chicken or vegetable stock, tomatoes, carrot. Bring to boil for 10 minutes.
  3. Add spring onion, oregano, thyme, celery, parsnips, basil, parsley, garlic. Simmer about 10 minutes.
  4. Add sugar, salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Blended soup when it will be ready.
  6. Served the tomato soup hot or cold.
  7. Add sour cream and garnish with basil leaves (optional).
  8. Enjoy your meal!!!
