Salad "Bird's nest"

Salad "Bird's nest" is gorgeous and unusual salad for events and your kids will love it.


  • potatoes (boiled) 3 pcs.
  • cucumbers 1 lb.
  • hard-boiled chicken eggs 4 pcs.
  • hard-boiled quail eggs 4 pcs.
  • chicken fillet (boiled) 1 lb.
  • hard cheese 3 oz.
  • processed cheese (grated) 2 oz.
  • bulb onion 1 pcs.
  • mayonnaise 4 oz.
  • dills 12 bunch
  • parsley 12 bunch
  • olive oil 1 cup
  • vinegar 2 tbsp.
  • black pepper, salt, sugar to taste


  1. Cut boiled chicken fillet and cucumbers in the form of straw.
  2. Boil eggs, considering the time of cooking (chicken eggs boil 6-7 minutes, quail eggs about 3 minutes).
  3. Chop the eggs and cheese separately on a grater, put in the separate bowls.
  4. Chop onion into half rings and put in a bowl. Add to onion a teaspoon of sugar, half a cup of water and two tablespoons of vinegar. Leave to marinate onions.
  5. Boiled potatoes grate and fry in butter on a well-heated pan until golden-appetizing crisp.
  6. Put fried potatoes on a napkin to drain off the fat.
  7. Put lettuce or other greens into a large salad bowl for decoration.
  8. At the bottom of a large salad bowl put the onion without the marinade.
  9. Then, soaking each layer of mayonnaise, put a layer of chicken, a layer of cucumbers, a layer of eggs, a layer of cheese. In the center of the last layer make a hole "nest".
  10. To this end, in the bottom of the pit put the chopped greens, a little crush. Put potatoes in the form of bird nests at the edge.
  11. Cut into the two halves the quail eggs.
  12. Then connect the yolk with processed cheese (grated) and use this mix to stuffing "eggs".
