Mushroom Potato Soup

Mushroom soup is a delicious soup which is perfect for vegetarians. Mushrooms can be used fresh, salted, dried or pickled. You can find all ingredients for this soup in the closest store.


  • potatoes, peeled & chopped 2 pcs.
  • champignons, white mushrooms, shiitake or other mushrooms (450 gram) 1 lb.
  • onion, finely chopped 1 pcs.
  • carrot, grated 2 pcs.
  • minced garlic 3 cloves
  • vegetable oil 2 tbsp.
  • greens (dill, parsley) 4 tbsp.
  • sour cream (optional)
  • salt and black pepper, to taste

Step 1
Rinse and then cut into four pieces the mushrooms. Put into the saucepan, add water to cover all. Boil about 30-40 minutes. Remove the foam.

Peel and then chop potatoes. Put into the saucepan. Add water to cover all.

Pour vegetable oil into a pan. Add grated carrot and chopped onion. Fry over medium heat about 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add minced garlic, fried carrot, onion into the saucepan. Season with salt, black pepper, spices. Boil until soft potato about 10-15 minutes.
