How to Cook Buckwheat Porridge or Kasha

The buckwheat porridge is a very popular in the Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Polish cuisines.  You can prepare it quick and easy. The homeland of buckwheat is considered India and Nepal, where it began to cultivate about 4000 years ago. It is rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins, which are necessary for human health.

Ingredients

  • buckwheat 1 cup
  • water 12 liter
  • butter, to taste
  • salt, sugar to taste

Directions

  1. Rinse buckwheat thoroughly. Dry in a frying pan for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, then put into the boiling water. Add sugar and salt to taste. Boil on the low heat about 15-20 minutes. Stir constantly. Serve hot with butter. Enjoy your meal!!!
