Pearl Barley Porridge

Pearl barley porridge (pearled barley porridge) usually cooked in water. It is very well suited for the diet feeding and very useful and tasty. The pearl barley ahead of other cereals in a number of rare vitamins as PP and D. 

Ingredients

  • pearl barley 1 cup
  • onion, finely chopped 1 pcs.
  • carrot, chopped or grated 2 pcs.
  • tomato paste (optional) 2 tbsp.
  • salt and spices (paprika, turmeric, khmeli suneli)

Directions

  1. Barley left in water for a couple of hours, so it is cooked faster. Thoroughly rinse and put in boiling water. Simmer for 30-40 minutes. Season with salt and stir.
  2. Chop and fry the onions and carrots. Add tomato paste. Add fried vegetables to the cereal. Season with salt and spices. Turn off the heat and let stand for 5-10 minutes. Enjoy your meal!!!
