Simple Quinoa Breakfast Porridge

Quinoa is an annual plant growing on the slopes of the Andes and known even 3000 years ago. Quinoa is considered to be fruit, as scientists refer to the pseudo quinoa crops. For the civilization of the Incas, it is one of the three sources of food. They idolized quinoa so much that considered "the golden grain."

Quinoa is considered one of the richest, for our body, a source of proteins, which are very similar in composition to the animal protein. It is especially valuable for people who have given up animal products. On the composition of amino acids, which are about 20 types of grains are very similar to milk. In addition to protein, groats contain carbohydrates, fats, fiber, minerals and B vitamins. Also, quinoa is rich in calcium, iron,  phosphorus, the number of which is not inferior to the fish.

Directions

  1. Groats is desirable to wash. Put it in a saucepan and cover with water with a ratio of 1 cup quinoa 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until liquid has evaporated about 15-20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork. Add salt to taste and butter. Enjoy your breakfast!!!
