Boiled Crab Legs

Boiled crab legs are an easy and fast idea for lunch or dinner. If you are going to cook frozen crab claws, it will be enough just put it in boiling water for a couple of minutes. Cook the medium size crab for 10-15 minutes after boiling, the large size crab for 30-40 minutes. Cook the legs of crab for 4-5 minutes or until red. Don't overcook it!!!


  • crab legs 1 lb.
  • bay leaves 3 pcs.
  • garlic 2 cloves
  • lemon juice, to taste
  • salt and spices, to taste

Fill a large saucepan with water enough to cover crab legs. Bring to boil and add salt, bay leaves, garlic and other spices to taste. Add crab legs to the boiling water. Cooks recommend to cook it over high heat to keep the juiciness of flesh, its delicate flavor, aroma, minerals and valuable components. Cook the legs, uncovered, for 4-5 minutes or until red. Remove the meat from the legs with kitchen shears or long tongs to cut through the shell.

Shake them a little to remove water they were cooking in and serve with garlic sauce or without. Optionally, before serving, sprinkle it with lemon juice and herbs. Enjoy your meal!!!
