Soak clams in cold water with a little salt for up to one hour, then drain. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and butter to the pan. Just as the garlic starts to turn brown, add the clams, lemon juice, butter, white wine, and black pepper. Cover and cook for up to 10-15 minutes, or until the shells open. Optionally serve with chopped parsley and lemon. Enjoy your meal!!!
