Rustic Potatoes with Chicken Legs & Mushrooms

Rustic potatoes with chicken legs and mushrooms is a simple but very satisfying meal for dinner.


  • chicken legs 5 pcs.
  • potato (450 gram) 1 lb.
  • mushrooms (200-300 gram) 14 lb.
  • tomato 2 pcs.
  • red pepper 1 pcs.
  • garlic 3 pcs.
  • mayonnaise, to taste 2 tbsp.
  • olive oil 3 tbsp.
  • salt, fresh ground pepper and spices, to taste


  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the potatoes into one-inch chunks. Put potatoes and garlic with the olive oil in a roasting pan. Wash the mushrooms, cut into quarters or slices then add into the roasting pan. Rinse and pat the chicken legs dry and then add into the roasting pan.
  2. Add slices of tomato and red pepper. Season with salt and pepper and spread in an even layer. Drizzle with mayonnaise to taste.Optionally sprinkle with grated cheese and chopped dill over the top.
  3. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for one hour at 300°F (150°C). After one hour, remove the foil, continue to bake the chicken until the skin has achieved the desired level of brownness or until cooked. Served hot. Enjoy your meal!!!
