Homemade Liver Spread

Flavorful spread with chicken liver for appetizers at party or holiday gathering. The homemade liver spread served with crackers, sliced baguette or bread


  • chicken liver (450 gram) 1 lb.
  • onion, finely chopped 1 pcs.
  • carrot, peeled and grated or chopped 1 pcs.
  • vegetable oil or butter 3 tbsp.
  • salt and spices, to taste

Step 1
Heat a pan, pour vegetable oil or add butter. Fry over medium heat grated carrot and chopped onion, stirring, for 2-3 minutes. Wash chicken livers and then add to the pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until liver is fork tender 20-25 minutes.

Spoon into blender container or food processor. Blend or process until smooth. Serve with bread or crackers. Enjoy your meal!!!
