Meatballs in Tomato Sauce

Meatballs in tomato sauce are well suited with the different side dishes as mashed potatoes, fried or boiled potatoes, vegetable stew, pasta, spaghetti, cereals, etc. Therefore, the main thing is to prepare the perfect meatballs.


  • minced beef (500 gram) 1 lb.
  • cooked rice 1 cup
  • egg, lightly bitten 1 pcs.
  • onion, finely chopped 1 pcs.
  • tomato sauce 3 tbsp.
  • sour cream 3 tbsp.
  • salt and spices, to taste
  • vegetable oil
  • parsley

Mix minced beef, cooked rice, egg, chopped onion, salt, spices in a bowl.

Shape a small piece of the mixture into a ball and fry in an oiled pan about 5-10 minutes until cooked.

Mix in a bowl tomato sauce, sour cream, a little salt. Optionally add a couple of tablespoons of water to this mixture to cover the meatballs. Pour the meatballs and simmer, covered, until cooked through about 15-20 minutes.
