Tea Time Banana Cake

So simple recipe for teatime banana cake with sour cream. This banana cake great with cups of hot tea.


  • eggs 4 pcs.
  • sugar, to taste 1 cup
  • baking soda 1 tsp.
  • all-purpose flour 1 cup
  • sour cream 2 cups
  • sugar for cream, to taste 1 cup
  • banana 3 pcs.

Heat oven to 375°F (170°C). Thoroughly whisk eggs and sugar in a large bowl.

Add baking soda and flour gradually. Mix thoroughly. Bake about 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Let it cool. Then cut a cake into two or three even layers.

Whisk sour cream and sugar in a bowl. Cover with mixture each layer of cake and top with banana slices. Optionally garnish the top of cake with crushed nuts.

Leave the cake in the refrigerator for one hour.
