Homemade Cheese Sticks

Homemade oven-baked cheese sticks as a snack. Serve with your favorite sauce.

Ingredients

  • water or milk 1 cup
  • sugar, to taste 2 tbsp.
  • yeast 1 tbsp.
  • all-purpose flour 2 cups
  • egg 1 pcs.
  • salt, to taste 1 tsp.
  • butter (30 gram) 1 oz.
  • sulguni cheese or other cheese (250-300 gram) 12 lb.
  • egg (for egg wash) 1 pcs.

Mix warm milk or water, sugar, yeast. Add flour, egg, salt, butter. Mix thoroughly. Leave the dough for 45-60 minutes in warm place.

Knead the dough and then roll out the dough into 0.5 inches (1 cm).

Cut the dough into the strips. Top with cheese strips and then pinch with wet hands.

Gently brush the buns with egg wash. To make the egg wash, beat the egg with a splash of water or milk.
